After living not once but twice in London (once was simply not enough), spending most of my spare time travelling out country to antique fairs or wandering old villages. I always craved my own part of history, my own cottage with its own story, to fill with treasures I have found along my travel.
For me, it is a step back in time and a place I can switch off, relax and retreat, I love how it engulfs me when I am there, in any part of the house and garden. Then to step out onto the highstreets of Fremantle where every day is a new adventure!
Traveller’s Return is well travelled old gal, and revels in discovering new cultures, history, food and textiles, she LOVES collecting textiles, cups and chairs (when she can) and bringing them all back. As a potter herself, her pieces in the house are a mix of cups/plates she has thrown on the wheel and others are from the places she's been.

My Travels
I have been lucky enough to have traveled a lot in my lifetime, from living in Korea when I was young, to then moving over to the UK when I finished Uni, and then again in my thirties. I love to get lost in a town and discover its treasures.
For me, treasures are furnitures and interiors with a history and a story, oh I also love to find the best places to eat in town, too, I once spent an hour researching the best pub pie in The Cotswolds and I succeeded!
I love to take a treasures back with me from every trip, sometimes small and sometimes it is a Napoleon III slipper chair (the one pictured below that I am sitting on) that I carry back on the Eurostar in hand luggage to save $400.
This is when Traveller’s Return was born in 2013, sourcing Turkish rugs (Istanbul is still one of my favourite cities) and mid century industrial nautical lamps from the Netherlands and brining them back to Australia. Life got in the way and it was just not quite the right chapter…. yet…
